The moneyboy on the corner had grabbed Larson’s arm and was pulling the farang along. Duff stood in their way.
- Larson, said Duff. – Don’t go with this boy. He is dangerous.
- Dangerous? said Larson. – Says who?

I caught my boyfriend Chalerm sleeping in the office a few times. I was alarmed by this and chided him.
- You think only me lazy office? asked Chalerm. – Is normal. When have no customer.
- You can’t get away with that in an office in Farangland, I said. – There must be something else you can do. Marketing?
- Is not my job. And Thai manager same. Him go shopping not come back.

When I flirt with Thai boys I want to be discreet. I don’t want others to notice it, I don’t want to make any fuss or embarrass anyone, and I want it to be deniable. I like to keep it ambiguous. What, me flirt with a boy? Not at all. I was just being friendly.

When I entered the living room today I saw a huge pink teddy bear resting in the sofa. Next to it was the Prince of Khon Kaen, sleeping. He had the air condition on, but had forgotten to close the door to the kitchen, which again had an open door to the balcony. No wonder our electricity bill is high. I closed the doors and turned the air cond down. The Prince is 21 and hence safely within the age range for Thai boys hugging teddy bears at night.

This one deserves its own post. Thank you J.
Silom

J Says: Well, unfortunately, Silom Farang, I can beat that story. I just won’t be able to tell it as well.

I am not embarrassed to buy boy magazines at the 7-Eleven in the soi. Thailand has several such magazines with semi-nude young men posing. In theory these magazines are for girls, but I still haven’t seen any female buy one. I have no idea who buys them.

I don’t know what the context was for this dirty look, where it seems the boy has just fallen off a bike and into a ditch. But I know where he comes from - Hikaru was one of the Johnny’s Entertainment singers from Japan.

I am making progress with my Thai. It is like I have reached a new plateau, with the old knowledge from my classes with the teacher popping up in my head again.

Farang D’s Thai boy manager has paid their web design debts in full. He put the money in Chalerm’s bank account. I sent a text message to Farang D to thank him but I have not received any response. Farang D used to send me up to a dozen text messages a day but after I asked for payment before doing any more work he fell silent. I guess I am off his list.

I was sitting outside the Grand Palace, practicing my Thai with some young ladies. What those ladies did for a living shall remain unsaid, but they were friendly and talkative.
