Farewell Borneo

I received another 30 days of stay in Thailand when I returned to Bangkok from Kota Kinabalu. They put a green field in my passport with some Thai letters written by hand. This means they are counting my days in the kingdom.

Winter is here

Bangkok this morning

The cool season officially began on the 1st of November and brrrrrr how cold it is. Thais are already wearing jackets and ski hats and gloves. It is 30 C in the day and 22 C at night.

Bangkok novel 175 - Duff and Noi’s 2nd date

Undeterred by the first date Duff arranged to meet Noi again. This time he chose Robert Miller’s boutique hotel on Sukhumvit. Duff felt he would be in charge of the situation if he met Noi there. There would be no more expensive meals for hordes of uninvited guests.

Noi came to the hotel 42 minutes late. He blamed traffic.
