200 - Larson’s troubles
- You are in deep shit, said Robert Miller.
Larson’s friends were gathered in Robert’s hotel to talk about Larson’s media appearance.
- I am innocent, said Larson.
- Partly innocent, said Bjorn.
- Which part is that? asked Duff.
- Careful Duffy. You have more to hide than I do, said Larson.
- Larson! You have to do something, said Robert.
- Why? They let me return to Thailand. I am not on any blacklist.
- I think they recognised you, said Duff. – The immigration officers pointed and giggled behind your back.
- I didn’t notice that, said Larson. – Besides, I have already done something.
- What? asked Bjorn.
- I wrote my boss. And she confirms that I keep my job and that all is well in Sweden. Look, here is a print of the email.

You may have noticed some inaccurate reports in the media involving my name and photo. I can assure you I have done nothing wrong and that this minor incident will soon be forgotten. I look forward to returning to the school and my work when my study leave is finished.

I am glad you contacted me. I have tried to find you. It is chaos here. I have had numerous calls from the media. They want to know everything about you. I also had many calls from concerned parents and members of the board. As for your legal situation, you are employed by the school until the board has voted to terminate your contract for breach of the Code of Ethical Conduct, or until such time that you have received a verdict in court.
If you wish to apply for early retirement, please let me know and I will assist you.

- As long as it was legal it is none of their business, said Larson.
- That’s not how it works, said Duff.
- Maybe it isn’t how it works in England, said Larson. – But this is in Sweden. Swedes are more liberal.
- Not THAT much more liberal, said Bjorn. – They think you will lust after their teenage sons.
- I never touched any of my students, said Larson.
- Ahem, said Bjorn.
