201 - Larson’s law
- The Code of Ethical Conduct is a load of BS, said Larson.
- What does it say? asked Duff.
- The usual. Teachers are role models blah blah must represent the school in a dignified manner blah blah.
- What does it say about sex?
- It says I can’t shag my students.
- What about prostitution?
- I don’t remember. But this is irrelevant. I have a plan.
- A plan? asked Robert.
- Larson has a plan! said Duff.
- I want to sue.
- Sue who? asked Bjorn.
- The people who lied about me. The newspapers.
- The newspapers only reported what the Thai police told them, said Robert.
- Then I sue the police.
- Excuse me? said Robert.
- I will sue the Thai police.
- You can’t sue the Thai police, said Robert.
- Why not?
- Because they are the Royal Thai Police. You can’t mess with them. They are above the law. They ARE the law.
- The police lied about me. Why?
- It happens, said Robert. – They want the case and themselves to look more important. It is much juicer if the boy was 14 than if he was 24.
- Creeps in uniform, said Larson. – I will find a good lawyer and then I will sue.
- No you won’t, said Bjorn.
- Who will stop me?
- If you sue the police may suddenly remember that you should be arrested and thrown in a dark cell.
- What kind of country is this? asked Larson.
- Not Sweden, said Bjorn.
