224. Duff in the bushes II
Duff was embracing the cute one and was about to go places and do things when the rough boy said something in Thai. He was leaning towards a tree only a few metres away, grinning.
- Go away! said Duff.
- Him my friend, said the cute boy.
- Tell your friend I don’t want him here.
The boy spoke in Thai to his friend but the friend did not leave.
- Is it possible to get some privacy here?
- Solly, said the boy.
- You handsome man, said the rough one. He came closer and looked like he wanted to join the fun.
- No no! said Duff.
- My friend think you hansam man, said the cute boy.
- I don’t want him.
Duff left the embrace and went up to the rough boy.
- You! Go away! said Duff loudly. He waved and pointed in the direction he wanted the rough boy to leave.
- Ok ok, said the rough boy and stepped back.
Duff went back to the business at hand. But he did not feel certain about the rough boy. Duff saw him peek from behind a tree.
- That’s enough! said Duff. - Either you get out or I get out!
- 500 baht, said the cute boy.
- 500 baht, said the rough boy.
- Not a single satang, said Duff.
- But you go me my friend, said the rough boy.
- I don’t want you. I want only one and some personal space. I want to be alone. Is that so hard to understand?
- 500 baht, said the rough boy.
- You must pay money, said the cute boy.
- Forget it!
- 400 baht?
- Go away!
Duff waved his arms angrily at the two Thai boys. When Duff saw them together it struck him that they were probably a couple, with the rough boy the dominating one. The cute boy only did what he was told.
- You people are hopeless, said Duff and went back to the lit walking path.
- Money, said the rough boy.
Duff was too upset to try any other encounter in the park. He took a taxi back to the hotel.

The next day Duff was waiting for Noi to come to his room. But the boy didn’t show up at the agreed time. And when Noi came, three hours late, his face had changed.
- Hi Noi, said Duff and tried to hug the boy.
Noi slipped away.
- Hey, what is wrong with you? asked Duff.
Noi did not reply.
- Noi honey, what is going on?
Noi went to the window and stood with his back against Duff. His arms were crossed against his chest. He looked angry and offended.
- You know, said Noi.
- What?
- You know.
- What do I know? What are you talking about?
Noi was silent.
- Tell me Noi darling? What is bothering you?
- Up to me.
- Say it.
- Not say. I go away. You not care about me. I go away now. Not come back.
