Chalerm’s noodles

It was nice to return to Chalerm’s arms after a few days in Pattaya. Much can be said about the cute boys in Pattaya but sincerity is not high on the list.

Chalerm was running the noodle stall by himself in the soi. The Noodle Family had somewhere to go and had left him to run the place.

Chalerm cooked a large amount of fish ball noodles with cashew nuts. It was delicious.

He sold the food in two hours and made 2000 baht from it. I don’t know what the net profit was but a thousand baht an hour turnover sounds good.

Chalerm gave the cash to the stall owners when they returned. He doesn’t get paid for his sales work. But he gets free noodles.

You eat noodles? This is the first time you admit to do so.

It must be ten years since I last ate noodles. But the ones Chalerm made were good. It could become a habit.

1000 baht an hour. That sounds like a good business.
I presume their only costs are power for the lights and heating, and the ingredients and containers.
Well done Chalerm. Sounds like he’s learned how to run that type of business. An extra ’string to his bow’ should he ever need one in the future. :)

This is how Marriott started. Except it wasn’t with a noodle stand, it was with a hotdog stand. Same, same.
