Chicken burger revisited

gay-boy-diary.jpg

Lately I had let my guard down with regards to the undercooked “sa-tek gai” chicken burger they sell at the 7-Eleven.

They seemed to get it right. Much of the improvement was because they recently have kept the burgers thawed in a drawer, which made it possible to heat it with shorter time in the micro oven compared to a frozen one.

But when I turned my back for a moment the girl must have put the burger on “2″, because it was cold inside when I ate it. At least it didn’t have ice bits in it, but this was only because it was already thawed.

Speaking of thawed. I hope they only keep the burgers for a day in that drawer? Is the drawer part of a fridge? I wonder if I should go behind the counter to check. I am a strange farang. I can do such things.

I tried one of these 7-11 “sa-tek gai” once, one bite and then gave it to a dog, who considered not taking it.

If you want the best fried chicken in Bangkok, in my opinion, go to the street stand on Rama 4, just ouside the MRT Lumpaini exit 1. He sets up most weekdays only at around 4 to 7. You can smell the aroma from 2 blocks away.
