Day and night

Fun

I am reverting to childhood.

I am playing computer games again.

It started in Malaysia, when I was in an arcade games place. They had no Internet and I had nothing to do there. I felt conspicious. I thought I might as well try a game. My real mission, of course, was to see if there were any cute boys in the place. There were none, but the shoot em up flight game was fun. It became even more fun when a bystander told me that if I hit the red button I should shoot.

Now I fly Boeing 747s on the Mac at home. I roam around in the Swiss alps and crash into mountains. I also have a space invader type game which requires quick reflexes and a minimum of thinking. Simple games for simple minds.

This productive activity kept me up till 7am last night.

Chalerm is downstairs with the Thai-Chinese neighbour. She has a home sales party. It is about cosmetics and beauty products.

This neighbour says cheerfully hello to me every time I meet her. She makes it look like we have been friends for life. I knew she wanted to make money out of us.

Chalerm has bought a new laptop computer. It is an Acer worth 17,000 baht. Where did he get the money from? He saved up from the allowance I give him, plus what he makes working in Farang D’s office. I gave him something extra for Songkran, partly due to guilt when I left for Malaysia. So he scraped together 7,000 for the down payment and will pay 1,200 per month for ten months.

I think he should have asked me before buying this computer. But on the other hand I am impressed he can save up and manage his money in this way. So I haven’t said anything about it.

It seems your relationship with Chalerm has strenghtened over the past few months. It seems he has matured which is to be expected as he gets older and understands and appreciates you more. He is a very lucky young man and his future will have opportunites that he other wise would have never dreamed. I wiish I could get my bf to be as responsible about money!

Chalerm is now in debt and is commited to paying Baht1200 a month for the next ten months. He should learn to keep on saving until he’s able to pay for things with the cash on him, rather than starting a habit of borrowing. A lot of purchases can be put on hold to the benefit of the buyer! Start them young.

I agree with MikeW. I wish my bf was responsible about money same same. But I guess he never will! :-( If he have some baht they burn in his pocket and he must spend immediately for karaoke, drinks, any way of sanuk! He now have a job and earn money, but when the 1st comes, guess who is asked to pay his room!
But this time I told him he must look how he can pay, I will not send money…..
(I just hope he not get me weak again…:-( lol)
