Not the real bad guy
The video sharing website YouTube, which is owned by Google, is still blocked in Thailand after someone allegedly posted a clip considered insulting to the Thai monarchy.
The Thai Ministry of Information says to the newspapers that it will take Google to court for lese majeste (pronounced leez majesty), “a serious crime which can lead to up to 15 years in prison”.
Interesting questions arise from this scenario. Will Thailand ask the USA to extradite Google? If Google is found guilty, will it serve in a male or a female prison? Will it have visiting rights? Can it apply for a royal pardon?
But I believe Google is not to blame in this case. The fault lies with a bigger criminal - the Internet. I suggest the Thai government take legal action against the Internet instead of Google. The notorious Internet has been up to all sorts of things for years and it is time someone puts it right. Give the Internet 30 years to life in the “Bangkok Hilton” and I am confident it won’t do it again.

Since the military took over, the ‘ lese majeste ‘ thing is all over the place.

The sad news is: there so many governments and private companies in the world, who will be happy to see the Internet punished and closed away.
And we shell not only point to the powers in the Asian region. You will find at least as many enthusiastic judges for it in USA, EU countries or Russia.
Of course, all this is only for our very best! They knew it better what is good for us.
