Did I dream about “Twenty” and “Forty” and the smelly feet? I can’t find it now! All day I’ve been thinking about the “ghosts” opening your doors. Bangkok is now sinking at a rate of 100mm (4 inches in USA measure) each year. Back in 1979 when I first heard about this after the Dutch did a big study of the problem it was 50mm year. It seems that Bangkok has at best 20 years to go before it goes under water. That’ll give all those sophisticated types in their expensive condos something to talk about. But anyway, I wonder if the sinking has anything to do with your doors opening and closing? I see cracks in buildings all over the place. That can’t help but open a few doors!
