KK by night
I went for a walk in the city after dark. I met some ladyboys who were eager to get my custom. There were some ordinary girls too, and a Chinese pimp.
This wholesome ensemble did their best to turn me straight.
- Any boys? I asked.
- We have many girls, said the pimp.
- But I prefer boys.
- Girls, said the girls.
- Lots of girls, said the pimp.
- I don’t want girls.
This suprised them.
- But why? asked one of the girls.
She said it in the tone people might use when they ask someone why he has committed murder.
- Up to me, I said.
She nodded reluctantly and agreed that yes, it was up to me.
- We have boys inside, said a ladyboy.
She was in her late 30ies and not the prettiest I have seen. She was a convincing transvestite but I had met too many of her kind in Thailand to be fooled.
- Where? I asked.
- Up here, she said and pointed up the stairs in the building behind her.
- Really?
- Yes.
- Go have a look, said the pimp.
I hesitated for a moment, wondering if this was safe. But there were many people around and I could not detect any bad vibes. I already knew the building. I had seen it on previous visits to KK and had realised it was a house of pleasure. Last time I was in KK I had sat in the street opposite this building for a while, observing the comings and goings.
I decided the risk was low and I let my curiosity win. I followed the ladyboy up the stairs. We came to a reception where a disinterested woman sat behind a window. She didn’t look up.
The interior of the building was basic and the corridor was in need of fresh paint.
- Where are the boys? I asked.
- Come with me, said the ladyboy.
She opened the door to a room. It had a double size bed which took most of the space, plants, pictures on the walls and an aquarium. It was her home and workplace.
The ladyboy sat down on the bed. I remained standing.
- Where are the boys? I asked. - Will they come here?
- Yes, said the ladyboy. - Sit down please.
I sat down on the edge of the bed. I had doubts about where this would lead.
- I do good for you, said the ladyboy. - 20 ringit.
- No thanks, I said.
She grabbed my central body parts. I removed her hand.
- Why not? she asked.
- You said there were boys here? I asked.
The ladyboy leaned forward and looked me in the eyes.
- I am not a girl, she said.
She held back, waiting for my response. Would I be angry? Insulted? Horny? Shocked? Surprised? Refuse to believe it?
- I know, I said.
- You know?
- Yes. You are a ladyboy.
She examined my face for signs of disapproval but didn’t find any.
I considered my situation. I had been tricked. There were no boys and I was in a room with a prostitute of the third gender. She was on home territory. They were many and I was alone.
I gave her 10 ringit.
- Thank you, she said.
I left the room. The ladyboy followed me. When we came out on the street the Chinese pimp tried again to convince me that gorgeous boys were waiting upstairs. I told him that once was enough.
