It is interesting to speculate on the role of male photo books like Roffman’s in the internet / digital age. Roffman’s choice of B&W, his composition, but mainly his subjects, are wonderful.
But will devoting an entire book to a small number of photos of a single or few guys, such as the gorgeous Brian, seem incongruous in future, as the internet’s current young sex gods are photographed 100’s of times ?

Maybe these books are still important to maintain the ‘artistic’ notion of young male beauty. And it’s always nice to have something for the coffee table !

We can see the photos on the Internet but they are not done justice on a computer screen. The book is much better. And better still is the original black and white print.
