If it floats your boat
I went to visit Chalerm yesterday. He stays with the Prince of Khon Kaen since his room is closer to the airport where Chalerm works.
It was Loy Kratong and we went to a temple to send our float on a klong (canal). The temple had a fair (Chalerm calls it festival), which included vendors, a Parisian wheel, lots of people, loudspeakers and firecrackers. A monk spoke constantly on the loudspeakers but I could not tell if anyone were listening. The monks also had their own float sales. 20 baht for a float. They are supposed to not handle money but I guess they have a way around it.
I took a photo of the swimming boys, those who look for money in the floats once they are on the water. This is strange. I thought the money was for spirits, not for soi boys. But the Thais don’t seem to mind.
Maybe the logic is similar to when they they do good deeds by releasing birds which had to be caught first for this purpose.
Cousin When and Older Sister were also there. It was a pleasant evening, not too hot. I wondered where the gay boys where but they came later, as we left. They are creatures of the night.

Who’s Prince of Khon Kaen? Title by member of a monarch’s family or a birthright for being a highest fag-bility?

Well if they are going to do that than they should at least do it without wearing anything!
