My Thai boys

I am proud of my ability to make decisions. The decision maker, that’s me.

I have made many decisions lately, all of them about where to go for my visa run next week. Jakarta? Penang? Kuala Lumpur? Rangoon? Kota Kinabalu?

I thought about going to Kota Kinabalu again to see how my friends the jungle boys are. But Air Asia wanted 13,000 baht for unconnected flights via KL. Royal Brunei wanted 25,000 and Malaysian Air wanted 26,000. Have they no shame?

My latest executive decision is to fly up to Udon Thani and hop over to Laos. The air ticket is around 2,500 baht return. Then I have to pay for the bus to Laos and for a Lao visa. It still comes out cheaper than Malaysia.

I saw the Lanna boy on Silom road. He used to stay with us once, before he became a pro. I wanted to talk to him but he was soliciting and it didn’t feel right to chat him up. I think he recognised me, but that need not stop him from seeing me as a potential customer.

In the Upstairs Internet Cafe the boys greeted me with “Here comes your boyfriend” when I entered the place. This was directed at a boy in a blue shirt. No, he is not my boyfriend but speak to him sometimes.

In the Gay Conspiracy Internet Cafe the Dumb Brother was trying to talk one of the boys into a trip up to the bedroom. There was only one other customer apart from me and this boy, and the Dumb Brother didn’t try to hide his scheme. The boy was reluctant. I would be reluctant too.

The ladyboy-in-training is growing his hair longer. He shakes hands with me now. Actually his outstreched palm is a request for money but I pretend to misunderstand. I shake his hand and say “nice to meet you”. He returns the greeting. This has become the standard joke every time I see him.

A trip by night bus from Bangkok to Udon should cost no more than 500 baht one way. It’s cheaper and you always have the probability that a beautiful Thai boy will sit beside you all the way!

Hanoi is beautiful this time of year. I think cheapest return on Air Asia is USD86 and on Nok Air USD100 ..

Take a 1st or 2nd class sleeper on the overnight train to Udon Thani.

Dear SF, I was considering an 8 or 9 night vacation in KL. I have checked available websites but can’t find a decent, gay, close to the action, no joiner fee hotel in all my enquiries….please help if you, or any other readers, can.
US $60.00 is around my budget per night.

    Dear AussieAl,

Try the Capitol Hotel in the “Golden Triangle”. While it is not gay, it is gay friendly. No problem with ‘guests’ during the day. Otherwise, plenty of ‘action’ around that area.

    Good luck :)

SF, I suggest you read the following thread from Thaivisa regarding visas in Laos. I think it will help you.
