Cracks? What cracks?
I was thinking about taking a cheap trip somewhere with Air Asia but reading that the airport has lost 20% of its capacity due to cracks in the runway I will rather stay in Bangkok. The repairs are bound to lead to delays.
These cracks must be the same as our former Great Leader Thaksin forced a few unlucky newspaper editors to say didn’t exist last year.
The junta has a solution: tell the pilots to avoid the cracks. Why didn’t I think of that? That’s what car drivers do when there are potholes in the road. Just go zigzag with the airplanes and all is well.

I’m so over the new airport. I ranted on a blog about how God awful it was when it was first opened, and was castigated by a number of people, and told how soon things would sort themselves out etc etc. Apart from the c–p (standard Thai) workmanship at the building itself, and the unusual (lunatic?) design, now the runways, which as you say was reported pre coup and swept under, (the runways), on the orders of Thaktomanic, which are…well…actually quite serious. Let it just sink back into the swamp it was built on.
