Of boys and bars

gay-boy-diary.jpg

Khun G. is out of work. He didn’t like his new career.

Turns out he was hired by a go-go bar as a dancer. Khun G. was happy to dance but he didn’t want to charm the customers. Hence the short career.

Khun G. hoped to get a dancer job in a show instead, but nobody wanted him. Now he is back in The Mansion.

Speaking of  boys and careers, I saw another former houseguest on Silom road today. I sat in a taxi, stuck in traffic, and he walked by on the pavement. It must be four years since I saw him but we made eye contact and I was certain it was him. He had the same distinct style of dressing as he had then. He also had a girl walking with him – his girlfriend?

This boy was from the far north of Thailand. He was a drifter who stayed in our spare bedroom for a few weeks and made little fuss. He was out on the street at very late hours and slept all day. I saw him outside CP Tower in what struck me as a moneyboy pose.

Later he tried his luck in Silom Complex and then I found him in a go-go bar in Silom soi 6. He had moved out from us by then.

I didn’t know he worked in the bar and the surprise was mutual when I walked in. He wai-ed me politely both when I arrived and when I left. I didn’t ask him to come over to my table. It would have felt kind of incestuous.

This Chiang Rai boy was cute, too cute to have sit idle in the spare bedroom, and Chalerm was watching over me like a hawk. Chalerm never let me be alone with this guy. None of the other houseguests we had since has been as tempting, so maybe Chalerm has learned to filter them.

but now that he’s in Thonburi, you can have your guest room unfiltered….

    Lets see…

Some cute guy stays in your home for a few weeks and you wouldn’t talk to him while he worked in a public entertainment establishment because “It would have felt kind of incestuous.”

Gee, with all the people that Chalerm has staying over you are close to being related to half of Bangkok…

I think the Chiang Rai boy owes “his daddy” a few pictures for his website.
