Thank you for your greetings. It is nice to know that this little blog actually matters to someone out there.
Backup? Real men don’t have backup. I have three.
The first is the blog folder copied down to my computer. Oops! It turned out that wasn’t really the blog content, only the pop star picture collection. The real content was hidden from view since it is on a PHP MySQL database. This was where I miscalculated. I am new to this PHP stuff and thought I could handle backup like on a traditional HTML web site.
The second backup is the database itself but I don’t know how to use it. I have one month until the files get deleted. If someone at Yahoo Web Hosting could be as kind as to reply maybe I could get it all back.
The third backup consists of text and picture files, stored on my computer. The novel, the stories and many of the posts are saved on my Mac. But not all since some of the posts were written on the road. And I don’t have copies of your comments either.
But I have enough to carry on. Did I hear a collective sigh of relief that the shirtless boyband stars are safe?
