Having spoken to a few entertainment workers in Pattaya I have noticed some frequently used expressions and their meaning. Here is a list of some of the things they say, with translation:
1. Today him holiday = He is with another customer
2. Him go home stay mother = He is in prison
3. You han-sam man = My rent is due
4. Him no working = He is a kept boy now
5. Excu me I go toilet = I have a short time customer waiting upstairs
6. Him can do anything = I will tell any lie to get your money
7. I go with you eat = I want free meals for the rest of your holiday
8. Police say can not = The boss is behind with payments
9. Can not go hotel you = My ID card is fake
10. Free for make happy you = I still expect to be paid
11. You good heart = You are paying too much
12. Up to you = Give me what I want or I will pout
13. Him take care you good = Your wallet is in the hands of a pro

hahahh.. how very true. i remember some of those sayings, too. but it depends. if they know and trust you more they can tell sometimes directly as well. but its true thais are good at indirect talk and in many ways they talk sometimes because they want to save your face (and help their friend out who later hopefully returns the favor when needed). thai or asian culture.
