I heard the following gossip in Sunnee Plaza: A tourist took a moneyboy to a short time hotel, certain activities took place in the rented room, and a knock knock on the door followed. Price 200 000 baht.
The twist was that the moneyboy was not a bait put out in the soi by the extortionists, as I have heard of several times before. Now it was the hotel owner who was in cohorts with the Powers. The hotel owner has an arrangement where he calls ”them” when a customer takes someone suitable to a room. For this the hotel owner gets a share of the profits.
I don’t know the exact age of the moneyboy in this story, but I believe he was a teenager. My Thai source said the boy was somewhere between 15 and 20.
You have been warned.

I understand the fear of legal action for libel, but could you give us an idea of the location of this hotel without actually naming it?

I asked the ladyboy mamasan who told me this several times which hotel it was, but she only grinned and refused to answer. But she said it was a “150 B short time place” if that tells you anything. It tells me nothing…
From where we were when we spoke about it, and from how she pointed in a certain direction I had a feeling the place she talked about was not in the Plaza itself but on the main soi (soi 17, also called soi VC). But this is just a guess.
