Night in Sin City

I didn’t meet Number One. Where is he? But I saw someone that looked like Number One from behind in a soi. He was on a motorbike and stopped at an Arab place. Has he joined a harem?

The Little Arabia area that centres around VC Hotel is growing towards and surrounding Sunnee Plaza. A restaurant closed near the entrance of Sunee recently and now it is a place for Arabs who smoke water pipes. I even saw Thai girls smoke water pipes.

There are more Russians too. Russian couples and families fly in on charter flights from the frozen cities in Siberia and Pattaya is all they get to see of Thailand. They don’t seem to mind the sinning in Pattaya. I guess it is not exactly saintly where they come from.

The “shows” have spread from Bangkok to Pattaya. How jolly. Here I sit enjoying the sight of the prettiest young men in the world dancing or at least standing around. Then the lights go down and the music goes up, and two straight guys come on stage to do gymnastics at odd angles. Are they trying to attract Japanese girls?

Speaking of the dancers, I saw no less than four former dancers had now changed jobs since I was in Pattaya in November and who were waiters now. Why is this so popular? It is the gay/fem or ladyboyish ones who do it most often.
