It is raining heavily in Bangkok. Maybe this is why they call it the rainy season?
I have a new personal record for being stuck in traffic. This was made at the intersection by the Erawan shrine, where I spent 45 minutes waiting on red light. The taxi driver made strange sighs and sounds while we waited for it to turn green, as if his head was about to pop. I hope it wasn’t anything serious.
Total time for my 3km trip was 90 minutes, which gives an average speed of 2km per hour. This is slower than walking.
I don’t mind the rain. I can do my “Singing in the rain” routine outside Burger King, on the corner of Soi DJ Station.
