I have used the whitening gel for several nights now. Every morning my teeth are visibly whiter. This thing works.

Only the first morning did I have side effects in the form of sensitive teeth that were vaguely painful around some fillings. But when I gurgled with chloride this pain went away.

My dentist told me to flush with fluoride for about two minutes after I had removed the whitening every morning. I brought a small bottle of fluoride from Farangland and I have to buy more here in Bangkok.

I use the gel for 6-8 hours every night. Each night I use it either for the upper teeth or the lower teeth. It is easy to apply the gel to the trays, as the plastic thingys are called. The trays are formed to fit my teeth and they sort of vacuum-stick to the teeth. I was concerned the plastic would fall off but this has not happened.

I think using the gel affects my sleep slightly as I want to avoid chewing or making any movement with my mouth that can damage the tray. Of course I can’t control my movements when I sleep so a certain tension remains in my mind about the tray at night. But using the tray is no big deal and it is only for 10-12 nights in total.

I don’t want fake super-white movie star teeth. I leave that to Tom Cruise, John Travolta and other Hollywood closet cases.

Getting my teeth colour back to a natural ivory is sufficient. So far so good.
