Chalerm’s two thousand baht was stolen by someone.
The Thai baht may not be the most solid currency but it doesn’t dissolve in water. Sometimes I have forgotten 20 baht notes in my pockets I sent to laundry and found them later as a disfigured lumps of paper.
There was no such sign of Chalerm’s two 1000 baht notes. This means they never went in the washing machine. Who took the money?
The following people had access to the room:
The Prince of Khon Kaen
The Air Force guy
The Air Force guy’s buddy
The maid
I have an idea about who it might be, but no proof.

A while ago 3000 baht and a mobile phone were stolen from us. Then the house was full of students from Chalerm’s university.
We have lost a few watches and electronics too, over the years. Fine “friends” they are, these thieves.

Chalerm asked for 1500 baht for another dentist appointment tomorrow. I refused, saying that since money goes missing in our home I would only give it to him when he was about to leave in the morning.

As I write this in the Internet cafe there is a group of gay boys here. I am surrounded. I have one on each side, and there are a further four or five on the other side.
They don’t know I can speak some Thai. I will not let them know. I am outnumbered and must keep a low profile. Survial is at stake.

You said the prince did the laundry………

There’s always the possibility he simply spent the money and is pretending it is missing because he wants more.
October 19th, 2007 at 6:52 pm
No, that isn’t a possibility. Chalerm doesn’t lie.

>There was no such sign of Chalerm’s two 1000 baht >notes. This means they never went in the washing >machine.
Not necessarily. Someone could have stolen them from the washing machine. Is the machine in a public place?
Jaafar, who once had all his laundry stolen from a washing machine…

The washing machine is in the kitchen, Sherlock.

I suspect The Thieving Twins.

Actually, nothing was stolen. Who ever found the money thought it was just a “gift” just a discreet way of saying, “Thank You!”
See, if you do the laundry and you find money while doing the laundry it is your “gift” for volunteering to do the laundry….

Ban all visitors & deduct it from Charlerms allowance.
He should take responsibility for all his visitors.
