Thai boys in & out

gay-boy-diary.jpg

I had expected that Chalerm would sulk when I kicked out Lek aka The Queen Of Si Saket.

But not so. Chalerm was relaxed and happy. Why was there no protest? I suspect Lek has outstayed Chalerm’s welcome too. The last month Lek more or less lived with us, and it must have strained Chalerm to entertain his friend day after day.

Chalerm thought it was poor friendship when Lek vanished for a long time last year. Lek didn’t call or visit for a couple of months and Chalerm felt hurt. This was when Lek was with the farang boyfriend. Only when the affair with the farang turned sour did Lek come back. This happened several times. As the relationship with Mr. Farang was on and off so was Lek’s friendship with Chalerm on and off. Chalerm felt used. Nobody wants to be the B-list Lek can turn to when his first choice is unavailable.

But lately the affair with the farang has been on hold, and Lek has stayed more and more with us. Why can’t these people do things in moderation so I don’t have to kick them out? Lek is not the first to outstay his welcome. I apprecate visitors and I gladly let Chalerm bring his friends home. But when they start living with us 24-7 they step over the line.

As much as I wish it was my charm that attracts them I realise they love to stay in The Mansion. Lek lives in a rented shophouse room by Rama 4 road, on the other side from Klong Toey slum. He shares the room with his mother and a sister. They have no air condition, little space and no privacy. Of course it is better to move in with Chalerm and I, where Lek could get cable tv, air condition and plenty of space in a quiet comfy apartment. All for free! And unlike his real home The Mansion is in walking distance to the Silom road hotel where Lek works.

I said that Lek was welcome to visit us when Chalerm came home after working in the office. But of course Lek is mortally offended now and refuses to come back ever again. That’s fine with me. He will return soon enough.

If thais did anything in moderation they wouldn’t be as much fun…

Its all about the moment and its all or nothing…

But “the moment” can seem to go on forever….

    He’ll be back!

He will be back with some treat you like, once you have cooled off and your short-term memory fades. Work-it Thai boy!

I’m wondering what Lek was doing for clothes. Does he move in with a suitcase or a garbage bag full of clothes? Surely he must have some place where he keeps what he isn’t wearing, even if its shared with a lot of other (family?) people. It’s not like he has to sleep in the park until he gets another farang to leech is it?

  5. Silom Farang Says:

Don’t worry about Lek. He has gone home to mama.

Perhaps lek has a lot of unmatched pairs of socks. Yours.
