Lizzard Boy and The Ladyboy are masters at pestering me for money and I have been aware that both would drop their inhibitions (if they have any) along with their pants if I waved cash in front of them. But I am not tempted. They are trouble.
They have foul mouths and roam the neighbourhood at any hour day or night, being up to no good. Maybe it was not the first time these two were dressed up in orange robes in the hope that they would learn to behave.
The ladyboy-in-training (not to be confused with The Ladyboy) is not of the same street-rough calibre. Having made an impact on me when he was shirtless in the Internet cafe he now says sweetly hello whenever he sees me. He must have been to the beach for holiday as he suddenly is two shades darker.
I haven’t figured out if the ladyboy-in-training is related to the owners of the Internet cafe or not. Today for the first time I saw him pay for something, a five baht snack. But I have not seen him pay for computer time. I will ask him if he is related to the owners, and if not how he can pay for it. He is a middle class person but still I can’t see how he can afford to play Warcraft for 100 baht every day. Does he have a sugar daddy somewhere?
