Chalerm called me at 3.30 am, saying he was coming home from Thonburi to pick up a hotel brochure he needed for a school project.
I said “do you have any idea what time it is?”. The next day Chalerm apologised for waking me up.

At 6.03 am Thai boy X, my latest friend in Pattaya, called me on the phone. He was surprised to hear I was in Bangkok. He did not apologise for waking me up.

I was put off by the raw bacon in the hamburgers at Burger Queen and went to Dick’s Café instead. Their burgers are better and cheaper too. In both places I can watch a parade of moneyboys walking by.

I was knocked out this week by a mild inner ear infection. It was enough to make me tired and dizzy and I slept a lot. At night I made progress on an 800 page novel. It could have been shorter but the German writer is talkative. I am currently at page 529.

Chalerm received a total of 3000 baht. 1500 was his allowance, 500 was a school fee for swimming classes and 1000 was for a graduation gift for a friend. I was invited to the graduation but called in sick.

Chalerm doesn’t like my Sandakan plan. He thinks I should be at home in Bangkok even when he isn’t home himself. What will I do in Sandakan? I tell him I am chasing wild jungle boys.

Chalerm lost his ATM card for the 3rd time since he enrolled at Rajaphat University. The two first times it was stolen. This time he forgot it in a cash machine.

Tomorrow I am going back to the teenage-style Foot Wart Doctor. I think of her as Voodoo Woman.

SF, I had to laugh about the 3:30 a.m. phone call. Classic. When my ladyboy and I were first building our relationship, we would chat on the internet. Cyber cafes were a relatively new phenomenum back then. Since I was working in the USA at the time, I would give Irin “suggested” times to contact me. She never could get it right…almost always she was online at 2:30 or 3:30 a.m. my time. I solved the problem by moving to Thailand.
As far as the lost ATM cards are involved, thank God Irin is incredibly responsible. She is one of the few Thai tightwads I have met….The only way she would lose an ATM card is if they pried it out of her cold dead hands.

Thanks for the CNN News!!!
Nice to keep up with everything THAI!
Much better than BBC…
1000B is not much these days, less than US$30.
Of course you Brits get more for your Pound!!!
Hope Chalerm and his friend appreciate it…
Cheers!!
