I use the same person all the time when I take a trip to BKK from Pattaya and when I arrive in LOS. He is trustworthy, reliable and a good safe driver.

I agree with samtam, Pattaya is grossly over-rated, getting there and gettin around is very hit or miss, I decided to give the whole place "a miss" years ago!

I sit in the front passenger seat to use the seatbelts. Some drivers seem to resent this and want me at a suitable distance in the back, but I don't care when my life is at stake.

So important to have a good and safe driver. The last time I went to Pattaya my travelling experience was so frightening that I swore I would never return....and three year on, I haven't. I used a car and driver recommended by a friend who lives in Jomtien. I permanently had my foot through the floor, as he followed the well-worn practice of not allowing any braking room, especially driving at high speed. I had particularly wanted seat belts in the back. He had them, but they didn't work properly, which added to the overall fea factor. I think the bus is probably a safer option, or indeed the one I've chosen....never returning!
