Warning: The robbery date

Two Indian-looking men are accused of robbing gay farangs at gunpoint in Bangkok. The number of victims is large. They specialise in not-so-young-anymore foreigners who come to Bangkok, contact them on gay.com or silverdaddies.com, take them to a rented room and rob them. I have been hearing about their activities for two years.

The full story is on thaivisa.com, read it here.

Disclaimer: These men are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law blah blah blah. You get the drift. Just stay away from them.

The general advice is to take dates back to your hotel, where the boys have to deposit their identity card in the reception. Don’t go with a stranger to what he says is his home.

I would take your advice further and say “avoid the escalator vultures at Silom Complex entirely!”.

Even though the famed kidnappers are reportedly serving multiple 15-year sentences, the many others who hang out there are professionals who are looking for more than harmless fun and a few baht.

And didn’t a certain character from our beloved novel get into big trouble in the toilets there? :)

This is happened to me. These 2 are still in Jail…now for a total of 25 years. They were convicted of another kidnapping and was sentanced to 10 years for that only because they confessed. And they are still facing 2 more trials for other crimes they have committe.
